A Family Bath with a Nod to the Past
In this 1900 Colonial, a thoughtful mix of timeless finishes and modern functionality brings new life to a once-cramped bathroom. Elevated fixtures, classic details, and a clean, understated palette honor the home’s historic character while giving the space a fresh perspective. Paired with a reimagined layout, double vanity, and spacious walk-in shower, the result is a refined retreat that feels both rooted in history and designed for modern living.
The Details Matter
Bridge the Eras We wanted to create a true moment with the lighting in this space. To do that, we chose these one-of-a-kind sconces from Sazerac Stitches. The mix of the aged brass with the custom finish acts as the perfect complement to the traditional feel of the room, while instantly making the entire design feel elevated.
More Space, Better Flow Our new space plan made room for a beautiful white oak double vanity.Between the larger vanity and the cabinet over the commode, our clients finally have the organized storage they need to keep the space clean and clutter-free.
Timeless Touches When it came to the plumbing, we wanted to choose fixtures that were both beautifully classic and substantially built. These aged brass faucets with lever handles fit the bill perfectly. They look as though they are completely original to the home, adding a timeless, organic layer to the bathroom that will only look better with age.
The original bathroom suffered from an awkward, unnatural layout that severely limited its functionality. The bulky bathtub took up far too much floor space, shrinking the room while forcing itself as the main focal point.
Storage was at a minimum, with only a single vanity and a shallow existing closet that ate up valuable floor space.
Is your space not working with your life style? Well we’d love to help you find your flow. We partner closely without clients to create livable beautiful homes that feel just right, where style and function work hand and hand.
