FAQ’S
Timeline & Planning Planning ahead is essential — good design takes time. On average, a project with some custom furnishings and minimal construction takes 6 to 9 months from concept to completion. Larger projects, such as full renovations of kitchens or bathrooms, typically span 9 to 12 months or more.
If you have a specific deadline — like a move-in date or special event — it’s important to communicate that early. The sooner a designer is involved, the more time there is to thoughtfully plan, source, and execute your vision — ensuring a smooth, well-managed process and a beautiful, stress-free result.
What does full-service design mean? Full-service design means we handle everything — from concept to completion. That includes the initial consultation, design development, sourcing, ordering, tracking, receiving, and the final installation of your space.
Our goal is to manage the countless details so you can focus on your life, not the logistics. We take care of everything from ensuring items arrive on time to handling any damages or delays, giving you a smooth and enjoyable experience.
How expensive is it to hire a designer? Hiring a designer is an investment in both your home and your peace of mind. While design services do have a cost, the products we source are often comparable in price to what you’d find on your own — sometimes even better, thanks to our trade resources and vendor relationships.
More importantly, you’re investing in a space that’s thoughtfully curated, beautifully executed, and tailored specifically to you — all while avoiding costly mistakes and design missteps.
How do we determine budget and spending? As designers, we work closely with you to establish a realistic, cohesive budget tailored to your project. Our goal is to help you make informed decisions about where to invest — focusing on the elements that offer the greatest impact and lasting value. Through thoughtful planning and strategic guidance, we ensure your investment brings your vision to life. The result is a home that reflects you — and holds its value for years to come.
How involved will I have to be in the design process? We’ll always ask for your input and approval — your vision matters. But the more trust you place in us, the smoother the process will be.
At Ferraro & Co., we’ve found that projects run most efficiently and deliver the best results when clients trust us to guide the design and manage the details. We take the time to understand your lifestyle, preferences, and goals upfront, so you can feel confident stepping back and letting us take the lead.
That said, this is your home — your ideas, feedback, and decisions are always welcome. We’ll present you with thoughtful options, provide expert recommendations, and ensure you feel informed and confident every step of the way.
